This followed his compliance with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s (EFCC) invitation on Tuesday.

Former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello has appeared at the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court in Abuja for a hearing on an alleged N110 billion fraud case brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Dressed in a white kaftan and a blue cap, Bello arrived in the company of EFCC officials. He is set to be arraigned before Justice Maryanne Anenih alongside his co-defendants, Umar Oricha and Abdulsalami Hudu, who are listed as the 2nd and 3rd defendants, respectively. The trio faces a fresh 16-count charge involving N110 billion fraud. Oricha and Hudu have been granted administrative bail by the EFCC.

During the previous hearing on November 14, the EFCC requested an adjournment to Wednesday, November 27, citing the ongoing 30-day summons period issued for Bello. While the commission secured administrative bail for the co-defendants, it sought additional time to ensure the 1st defendant’s appearance in court.
