Why APC lost Abuja council poll – Dauda, APC presidential aspirant

A 2023 Presidential candidate on the platform of the All Progressive Congress, the APC, Dr. Ibrahim Bello Dauda, has announced the APC’s poor performance in Saturday’s council elections in Abuja and urged the party to learn from its mistakes ahead of the 2023 general election.

Dauda, who noted that the APC did not come close to abuja’s election as a unified assembly, however, praised President Muhammadu Buhari and the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for the conduct of fair and peaceful council elections in the Federal Capital Region, Abuja .

In a statement from the Media Directorate of the El Dabi 2023 Presidential Campaign, Dauda said the results showed that INEC and Buhari were deeply committed to ensuring the sanctity of elections in the country.

According to the 49-year-old businessman-academic, the President showed a determination not to interfere with the election results as well as a strong commitment to let Nigeria’s will win at the polls.

He also congratulated the election winners, saying they should regard their victory as a call to serve their constituents.
