Today in Daura, Katsina State, one of Nigeria’s most prominent philanthropists and politicians, Alhaji Nasiru Haladu Danu, Dan Amanar Dutse, was turbaned as the new Tafida Babba Daura, (i.e. the Senior Tafida of Daura) by His Royal Highness, the Emir of Daura, Alhaji Umar Farouk Umar CON.
Alhaji Nasiru Haladu Danu, Dan Amanar Dutse, a renowned businessman and accomplished politician, is the president and founder of the Nasiru Haladu Danu Foundation (NHD), a humanitarian organization known for helping the underprivileged through philanthropic interventions, helping the sick. through medical outreach, and empowering young people with self-sufficient enterprises.

In a statement, signed by the President’s Senior Special Assistant (Media and Publicity), Mr. Garba Shehu, the President who could not attend the event, sent a delegation of three, who are the Ministers of Water Resources, Eng. Sulaiman Adamu, Aviation, Hadi Sirika, and The Chief Special Assistant (Media and Advertising), Garba Shehu, to represent him.

It will be recalled that Alhaji Nasiru Danu has been an important supporter and loyal partner of President Buhari since he first competed to become President of Nigeria in 2003; when he formed the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), and until the moment when he finally secured his victory to become president of Nigeria in 2015.
In 2017, Danu was turbaned as the Dan Amanar Dutse.
