A student at Clariantian University Nigeria, CUN, in Nekede, Owerri West Governorate, Imo State, whose name is given as Suel Ambrose, slumps and dies while taking part in a Bible demonstration of how Jesus Christ was crucified.
As it turned out, the events that occurred on Friday (Good Friday) had the university community into chaos.
A source at the university, who prefers to be called Michael Eluwa, said the deceased fell and after some time started bleeding while acting in the drama passion Christ.
“At the time it happened, everyone gathered and took the deceased to the school hospital. Then, when his case worsened, he was transferred to a nearby federal medical center, FMC.
“From there we heard he won’t survive ” he said.
“At first when it happened we thought it was a joke and it was part of the drama, when he couldn’t get up we knew it was a serious matter and he was taken to the hospital.”
School management , through the student affairs chaplain Chukwuemeka Iheme, said the school would investigate the matter later.
