Hon. Terseer Ugbor has taken no back seat in translating the yearnings and aspirations of the electorate into fruition with the TU midas touch yielding with an altruistic walk with humanity in parliament with Kwande/Ushongo Federal Constituency marking his second Christmas in parliament with a brighter and better run with his mandate for the people.
Hon. Terseer Ugbor has facilitated the completion of 2024 special intervention project: a block of six class rooms of UBE Secondary School Gaaba Mbachile ,Manev,Kwande Local Government Area,Benue State in his second run to Christmas with his mandate at the green chamber.
Hon.Terseer Ugbor has sponsored an ongoing legislative bill for the establishment of Federal Polytechnic Adikpo and the Federal Institute of Mining Technology.
Terseer Ugbor ,TU is hopeful that the dream to have a college of higher learning in Kwande will be achieved in no distant time.
Hon. Terseer Ugbor, Member representing Kwande/Ushongo Federal Constituency at the 10 House of Representatitives of the National Assembly entreated the ‘Green Chamber’ to conduct a minute silence in honour of the fallen hero elder statesman, Wantaregh Paul Unongo.
Whilst in attendance at the funeral of the elder statesman, Wantaregh Paul Unongo, to pay his last respect to a distinguished Benue son, he prayed God to continually comfort the family and all who loved him in extending the condolences of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas,
Speaking at Unongo’s funeral, Hon. Terseer Ugbor, TU charged the people of Kwande to remain steadfast stressing that he seeks to implement solutions to improve their security situation.
Hon. Ugbor has facilitated the establishment of a new Immigration Base currently undergoing construction at Kwande Local Government headquarters in Adikpo and another to be established at Abande close to the Cameroon border aimed at controlling illegal movements and improving security in the local government.
Also, Hon. Terseer Ugbor has facilitated the approval of the E-Border Monitoring and Surveillance System for border communities in Kwande to remotely monitor all illegal activities and respond promptly to security threats like banditry.
Again, Hon. Terseer Ugbor has faciliated with the TU midas touch by securing the approval for the establishment of the new Nigerian Police Border Patrol Unit to be established early next year at Jato Aka to help secure the border communities around Kwande local government and secure the lives of the people.
In empowering the women and youth entrepreneurial initiatives Hon. Ugbor held the 4th Phase of the Women and Youth Empowerment Program in Kwande/Ushongo Federal Constituency where Hon. Terseer Ugbor empowered his constituents with Agro equipment to boost their Agric businesses with the Agro Empowerment Initiative.
In advocacy against women-slavery and human trafficking, again on the floor of ‘House’ in some days to Christmas
Hon. Terseer Ugbor revealed that the most satisfying part of his job is speaking and advocating for his people where he presented a public petition on behalf of a constituent whose daughter was trafficked and sold into prostitution in Burkina Faso- abroad.
On environmental degradation,Hon. Terseer Ugbor moved a motion on the urgent need to address massive flooding, destruction of farmlands and damage to major federal roads in Benue State on the floor of the Green Chambers.
Upholding the people’s mandate before the yuletide of 2024, Hon. Terseer Ugbor has called on the Federal Ministry of Works and Federal Emergency Road Management Agency, FERMA to report back to site on Gboko-Ugbema-Kwande road.
As a voice to the voiceless, Hon. Terseer Ugbor before this Christmas of 2024 had urged the Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN and Distribution Companies, DISCOS to extend power from Kashimbila dam to host communities and neighbouring communities of Benue State in order to have a steady power supply for usage.
Interestingly, Hon. Terseer Ugbor, has brought the TU Midas Touchto bear as he produced a thought provoking documentary ‘Behind the Valley’ in collaboration with Women Environmental Programme.
‘Behind the Valley’ paints a vivid picture of the interconnectedness of climate change and the conflicts in North-Central Nigeria,highlighting the issues and solutions.
Consequently, climate change and environmentally building conversations were facilitated On the 20th of November 2024 at COP29 Azerbaijan at another side event on addressing the impact of climate change on farmer-herder clashes in Nigeria in collaboration with the office of Hon. Terseer Ugbor, the Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Environment, House of Representatives, National Assembly, Abuja, Nigeria.
A frank conversation on addressing the farmer-herder clashes which is fueled by climate change was held. The discussions were preceded by screening of the thought-provoking documentary, ‘Behind the Valley, produced by Hon Terseer Ugbor, Deputy Chair of the House Committee on Environment, House of Representatives, Nigeria, in collaboration with Women Environmental Programme.
In an intellectual drive at nation building the TU Midas Touch came to bear before the yuletide with the book launch and public presentation of the book, Recycling in Nigeria by Hon. Terseer Ugbor to mark the milestone of his career as an environmental consultant and recycling expert for 17 years.
Speaking about his book’ Recycling in Nigeria’ Terseer Ugbor discloses that this is his intellectual contribution to environmental sustainability and entrepreneurship in Nigeria, even as he continues with the task of effectively representing Kwande-Ushongo at the House of Representatives.
Terseer Ugbor,the God-fearing legislator before Christmas2024, did not fail to dedicate his daughter, Baby Serena to God as he extolled Tor Kwande at 80.
Earlier in the year, in a related development, and in a bid to bring home the the delivery of good governance to the populace of Benue at the grass root as a build up to mark his second Christmas in parliament, Hon. Terseer Ugbor, Member representing Kwande/Ushongo Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives of the 10th National Assembly who has facilitated zonal intervention projects and capital projects worth over N600m from the 2024 Appropriation Act of the Federal Government in advancing the cause of development and has attracted the release of humongous relief materials and the distribution of avalanche of such to the masses, had decried how his efforts to pull the downtrodden out of the woods have been met with stiff resistance and opposition politics from the powers that be in Benue state with the confiscation of a truckload of palliatives by Governor Hycianth Alia meant for his constituency in a build up to the Christmas holiday for the internally displaced persons.
Hon. Ugbor’s altruistic bent and approach to socio- economic and development strategies comes readily to bear with how he steers effective representative politics at the green Chambers for his constituency as a legislator extraordinaire.
In a chat with newsmen ,on the controversy over the diversion of relief materials meant for internally displaced persons (IDPs),Ugbor disclosed he had engaged a legal team to sue Governor Hyacinth Alia for defamation, stating how unacceptable it remains for the Governor’s undue seizure of a truckload of palliatives he secured from the National Emergency Management Agency,NEMA.
Ugbor was demanding N1 billion in damages where he intended to invest the money in the construction of some estate for the housing needs of the displaced individuals in his constituency, whose relief materials were confiscated by Governor Alia.
Ugbor expressed dissatisfaction with the Governor’s actions, insisting that the Benue State Government has gone below the belt by playing politics too far with an intention to sacrifice competence, capacity and drive for development on the altar of political black mail, defamation and assassination of his chararacter.
Ugbor maintained that the confiscation was unwarranted as the palliatives were not offloaded, and the truck was parked in front of a popular warehouse, and not in a private residence.
Although, a statement from Tersoo Kula, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, said that the truck was caught offloading relief materials at a private residence in Makurdi, stressing that the materials were released from a National Emergency Management Agency,NEMA warehouse in Jos and should have been lifted and distributed by the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA).
Kula said, the Benue State governor expressed dissatisfaction with the handling of the relief materials thereby ordering the truck to be impounded at Government House, calling for the investigation of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) in this matter.
In defense of his reputation and good work ,Hon. Ugbor got poised for a show down with Governor Alia in court to clear his name and deliver the relief materials to the masses it was meant for, lamenting that in other states, such efforts would have been met with gratitude, not suspicion.
Inspite of the conflicts,contradictions and opposition politics confronting Hon.Ugbor, Fellow of the Professional Leadership Institute ,who holds a first degree in Sociology from the University of Abuja , shines like a million star in translating the yearnings and aspirations of the electorate into tangible realities as he brings into fruition the mandate of the good people of Kwande-Ushongo Federal Constituency with his altruistic walk with humanity in parliament through many of his constituency projects for community development.
In upholding and advancing his mandate for an effective representation of the good people of Kwande/ Ushongo Federal Constituency and Benue state, Hon Ugbor calls for unity, inclusion and positive engagement amongst all leaders in the state without hinderance for rapid economic and political development of the state.
As a peace loving nation builder and a good christian, Hon. Terseer Ugbor admonishes his constituents to remain peaceful in the face of adversity, quoting Psalm 30:5: “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.”
Without fail, running with the peoples mandate into his second Christmas in parliament, Hon. Terseer Ugbor has left no one in doubt about his competence and capacity to effectively and efficiently deliver in his first time as a legislator

Into his second Christmas with the people’s mandate past his first year in office, Ugbor, the indefatigable legislator, whilst continuing on the projects to improving the sources of livelihoods of the masses, as the Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Environment, an environment and energy enthusiast, has pledged not to slow up, or slow down, neither let up, nor let down in his resolve to improve the environment and habitating conditions of his constituents with the provision of water, rural electrification and culverts construction for his constituents of Kwande/Ushongo, he has tagged ‘Connected Development for Kwande/ Ushongo Federal Constituency.
It’s no wonder why, some school of thought posits that, Kwande/Ushongo Federal Constituency would not have had, more timely, a stellar approach to an ‘Altruistic Walk with Humanity in Parliament’ than the emergence of Hon. Terseer Ugbor, Africa’s rising leadership star.
Chronicling why he remains apart, as one legislator whose appointment as the Chairman of the Ad-hoc Committee on Students Loans and Access to Higher Education came shortly after his inauguration into the House of Representatives.
Also,Hon. Terseer Ugbor is convinced that the Students Loan Program of the Tinubu Presidency of the ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’ will become a relieving experience for the Nigerian students and parents, and not just a hope for his constituents of Kwande/Ushongo and Benue state in general.
