The management team of Big Brother Naija contestant, Nelly Mbonu, has issued a statement refuting allegations that she is a stripper and pole dancer. In a post on her official Instagram page, they clarified that Nelly is, in fact, a skilled chef and talented video vixen.
The rumors about her involvement in stripping and pole dancing began circulating shortly after her entry into the Big Brother Naija house on July 28, 2024. Her team has categorically denied these claims, stating that they are entirely false and that Nelly has never engaged in such activities.
The management team of Big Brother Naija season 7 housemate, Nelly Mbonu, has released an official statement to address and refute the circulating rumors that she is a stripper and pole dancer.
The full statement reads:
“It has come to our attention that there is a misinformation circulating on various blogs, inaccurately stating that Nelly is a stripper and a pole dancer. We would like to unequivocally clarify that these claims are entirely false. Nelly is a respected chef and a talented video vixen who has appeared in several music videos. At no point has she ever stated that she is a stripper or a pole dancer, nor has she engaged in pole dancing.”
Nelly was introduced into the Big Brother Naija house as part of the duo “Nelita” alongside ex-beauty queen Anita. The statement aims to correct the misinformation and provide accurate information about Nelly’s profession and interests. By doing so, the management team hopes to put an end to the speculation and allow Nelly to focus on her journey in the Big Brother Naija house without unnecessary distractions.
The clarification comes after rumors began circulating shortly after Nelly’s entry into the house, and the management team felt it necessary to address the issue and set the record straight.
