The family of a retired school head teacher,Rachael Afolabi, has been thrown into panic after she disappeared while visiting her daughter in the Ajegunle area of Lagos State.
Afolabi on 18 December 2021, left the Orodu area of Ajegunle to visit one of her daughters who lives on the edge of the Oluwa community.
Newsglobal learned that the 65-year-old woman was traveling with another daughter.
They were said to have taken separate motorcycles.
However, when the motorcyclists reached Tolu Medical Junction, they took a different route and the sexagenarian was nowhere to be found.
Oladokun Babatunde her son-in-law said ‘My mother-in-law has been sick for a while and that is why she was brought to Lagos from Oyo State for good treatment; She has been here for the last four months. “Two Saturdays ago, she and her daughter (my wife’s sister) wanted to come and meet my wife at the shop, so they took a separate motorbike from the intersection of their house to her shop.
When they got to Tolu Medicals I learnt there was traffic so the riders took a different route just for my wife’s sister to get to our shop and we started waiting for mama to come. The rider who carried her didn’t say that he didn’t know the way. It was an hour later when we didn’t see them that we started looking for them.
“When we finally saw the rider he took us to where he dropped mama but we couldn’t find her and since then, we’ve been looking for her. This incident has affected us a lot because since then, I couldn’t go to work. We’ve been up and down looking for her. ; My wife and sister are disturbed by her disappearance .”
