Former Enugu State Governor and senator representing Enugu East senatorial district, Chimaroke Nnamani, along with Twitter user, @McCa_Xn, on Sunday, engaged in a “verbal tug of war” on the popular micro-blogging platform, Twitter,
Nnamani has recently increased his engagement on the social network by regularly engaging in Twitter Posts, chatting with youth on Twitter. a position in which he will no longer block Twitter users who insulted him after being called out by some users.
However, on Saturday, the senator noted that there was no such thing as a “party to follow.”
“Still on the matter of Obedient, there is no obedient party, the name is Labor Party, a political party with candidates in all offices including governorship. Our party is different and that is the Peoples Democratic Party. If we hide the difference and vote stupidly for Obident that is the Labor Party for President for a few elites, it is easy to reverse two weeks later,” he wrote on Twitter.
Nnamani had also previously tweeted, “We are Ebeano, our political party is not the Labor Party, We are PDP and our symbol is an umbrella.”
Nnamani’s tweet drew a response from @McCa_Xn, who called the senator names in the Igbo language.
However, the senator replied to the user, something similar to “return to sender.”
The newspaper reports that the senator has been involved in a series of “political evangelism” on behalf of his political party, the PDP.
