The internal crisis within the Labour Party has escalated as Senator Nenadi Usman, head of the party’s caretaker committee, has directly challenged Julius Abure, the factional National Chairman, to provide proof for his accusations against Peter Obi, Alex Otti, and other top members.
During a recent interview on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily, Usman dismissed Abure’s threats to reveal alleged misconduct involving 2023 election funds, insisting that he should present any evidence he has. She further revealed that the party has documented Abure’s actions, with some already under police investigation.
Usman also pointed out that Abure’s term as national chairman has concluded, and the party is now following the Independent National Electoral Commission’s directive to address the leadership gap.
