In a display of commitment to fostering robust legislative-civil society partnerships, Hon. Engr. Anayo B. Onwuegbu, FNSE, representing Aninri/Awgu/Oji-River Federal Constituency, stood out among his peers during a two-day workshop convened in Lagos.

Led by the Chairman Senate Committee on Diaspora and Non-Governmental Organisations, Chief Victor Umeh, the workshop brought together members of the Senate Committee on Diaspora and Non-Governmental Organisations and House of Representatives Committee on Civil Societies and Development Matters National Assembly to engage in meaningful dialogue with representatives from Civil Society Organizations (CSOs).

The joint workshop, organized by the European Union Agents for Civilian Driven Transformation Programme in collaboration with the British Council, served as a platform for legislators and CSO representatives to deliberate on pressing issues aimed at enhancing Nigeria’s democratic landscape. Discussions centered on identifying needs and priorities, with a shared objective of fostering a more conducive democratic society.
