The superstar footballer wrote in an Instagram statement shared on Monday, April 18: “With our deepest sorrow, we must announce that our baby boy has died.” The post was also signed by Ronaldo’s fiance, Georgina Rodriguez.
Christain’s statement continued: “This is the greatest pain that can be felt by every parent. “Only the birth of our baby girl gave us the strength to live this moment with hope and happiness. “We would like to thank the doctors and nurses for all their expert care and support.”
The couple ended their tragic post by asking ‘privacy from fans at this very difficult time’. “Our baby boy, you are our angel. We will always love you, “they wrote.
Ronaldo and Rodriguez announced in October that they were expecting twins. He is a father of four kids , twins Eva Maria and Mateo, eldest son of Cristiano Jr. and the youngest Alana Martina.
Taking to Instagram last year for the news Rodriguez hoped for, the Portuguese soccer star wrote: “It’s a pleasure to announce that we expect twins. Our hearts are full of love – we can’t wait to meet you. “
