Hours after unidentified gunmen killed four policemen at a checkpoint in Enugu, a popular Security chief Ogbonna Ani, known as Jango, was shot dead.
Newsglobal gathered there was heavy shelling in the Coal City area when gunmen using advanced weapons attacked the neighborhood. Residents were said to have been hiding when bullets began raining around 11pm Thursday night.
Attempts to reach the Enugu Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, ASP Daniel Ndukwe failed as he didn’t pick his calls.
