PPD Chairman has been assassinated and 3 INEC employees shot, as elections turn bloody in Ebonyi
Elections to the Government House and House of Assembly in Ebonyi state reportedly turned violent, which led to the assassination of the chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, of Ezza North, Nweke Peter.
Three INEC officials were also shot and have been transferred to a hospital in Abakaliki where they are receiving treatment.
Details of the incident were still incomplete at the time of this report, but sources said the armed men broke into the polling station forcing people to run for security.
Later the body of the party Chairman was found where it was dumped .
