At least three policemen were shot dead by unidentified gunmen who stormed a police checkpoint in the Independent Layout area of the capital Enugu.
Newsglobal gathered that the incident happened at about 12 noon near the popular Cashew bus stop, close to Timber junction.
A heavy shooting was reported in which a Keke rider reportedly suffered a gunshot wound. The gunmen are said to have also kidnapped a woman and her driver who hit the thugs.
