In Anambra State, a coalition of over 2,000 women has declared their backing for Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s bid for a second term, attributing their support to his government’s provision of complimentary maternal healthcare services. This collective endorsement was made during the 2025 Anambra State Women Summit, convened by APGA’s State Women Leader, Lady Esther Onyekesi. The women, hailing from various communities and political backgrounds, emphasized the positive impact of free antenatal, delivery, and postnatal care available in government hospitals. They also praised the administration’s initiatives in education and youth skill acquisition programs. Dr. Nonye Soludo, the governor’s wife, expressed gratitude for the support and reiterated the government’s dedication to enhancing the lives of women in the state .
