A report has disclosed the circumstances surrounding the death of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah. Ubah, the representative for Anambra South in the Senate, passed away in London shortly after arriving in the UK. According to AIT Live, Ubah died of cardiac arrest. Although there has been limited reaction from prominent Nigerians, the Senate has confirmed his death, with spokesperson Yemi Adaramodu addressing the issue amid ongoing confusion.
Senator Ubah, who recently switched from the Young Progressives Party (YPP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), died in a London hotel two days after departing Nigeria. He was 52 years old and would have turned 53 on September 3. Ubah, who ran for governor of Anambra State in 2014 under the Labour Party (LP), served as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Petroleum Downstream. He was in London for his son’s graduation.
