Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration for significant improvements in the North-West region, citing enhanced security, agricultural revival, and infrastructural development.
Speaking at the All Progressives Congress (APC) North-West stakeholders’ meeting in Kaduna, Governor Sani highlighted the transformation of the region from a hotspot of insecurity to a zone of stability. He noted that prior to President Tinubu’s tenure, the North-West grappled with rampant banditry, terrorism, and kidnapping, which severely disrupted daily life and agricultural activities. However, under Tinubu’s leadership, security has markedly improved, enabling farmers to return to their fields and communities to regain peace and stability.
Governor Sani also emphasized the administration’s commitment to rural development, citing the provision of farm inputs and the initiation of major infrastructure projects such as the Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria-Kano dual carriageway, the Birnin Gwari-Kaduna road, and the Jere-Kafanchan road. Additionally, he mentioned federal interventions including the creation of the North West Development Commission, the N95 billion rehabilitation of three dams in Kano, and the establishment of the Ministry of Livestock Development.
The governor lauded the inclusive nature of Tinubu’s administration, highlighting the appointment of 12 federal ministers from the North-West, as well as key positions such as the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Deputy Senate President, and the Chief of Defence Staff. These appointments, he argued, reflect the administration’s recognition of the region’s significance and its commitment to equitable representation.
In a show of political solidarity, the APC North-West stakeholders endorsed President Tinubu as their sole candidate for the 2027 presidential election, passing a vote of confidence in his leadership. The endorsement, moved by Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas and seconded by Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris, underscores the region’s support for Tinubu’s vision of national prosperity and lasting change.
Governor Sani concluded by urging stakeholders to mobilize grassroots support for President Tinubu’s re-election, emphasizing the need to consolidate on the gains achieved and continue the trajectory of development and stability in the North-West and the nation at large.
