In a firm display of support for President Bola Tinubu’s administration, the Hon. Minister of State for Water Resources and Sanitation, Hon. Bello Muhammad Goronyo, commended the recently concluded three-day Cabinet Retreat as a example of good governance and policy implementation.

The esteemed minister’s commendation, echoing the ideas of President Tinubu, underscores the retreat’s pivotal role in advancing the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda and its commitment to fostering a just and equitable society for all Nigerians.

At the closing session of the three-day Cabinet Retreat in Abuja on Friday, President Tinubu reiterated his unwavering dedication to citizen engagement in governance, emphasizing the need for active participation and accountability. He stressed that all Nigerians should be empowered to monitor and report on the progress of projects across the nation.

Hon. Bello Muhammad Goronyo further praised President Tinubu’s decision to task his Special Adviser on Policy and Coordination, Hadiza Bala Usman, with reactivating a cutting-edge digital tracking system to provide real-time oversight of project implementation for the benefit of all Nigerians and access the performance of the cabinet members.

As a result of the retreat, President Tinubu directed the reactivation of the Presidential Delivery Tracker, an innovative tool empowering Nigerians to track the implementation of projects in real time.

The President, in an address that redefined the priorities of his administration, outlined key areas of focus, including economic reform, national security, agriculture, energy, infrastructure, education, health, diversification, and improved governance. He passionately implored his cabinet members to labor diligently to meet the expectations of the Nigerian people.

Highlighting the centrality of data in effective governance, President Tinubu stated, “Data is the lifeblood of effective governance. It enables us to understand the challenges we face so that we can design and implement effective solutions as well as monitor and evaluate our progress. Without data, we are flying blind.”

The zenith of the retreat was marked by the signing of performance bonds by ministers and permanent secretaries, with President Tinubu leading the charge. The President fervently urged all implementing authorities to exhibit unwavering commitment, innovative thinking, and a relentless focus on achieving tangible results.
