Atiku Abubakar, the presidential hopeful of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, has congratulated Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke for emerging the winner of the Osun State gubernatorial election.
Adeleke won the election for governor of Osun with 403,371 votes.
He defeated his top contender, Governor Gboyega Oyetola, who won 375,027 votes.
Reacting, Atiku said that the light had reached the state of Osun.
“The light has come to Osun. Congratulations, Senator @AAdeleke_01, on a well-fought victory. Also, warm congratulations to the family @OfficialPDPNig and all stakeholders who came together to make this possible.
“Most importantly, congratulations to the great people of Osun State for proving that power really belongs to the people,” he wrote.
