Gunmen kidnapped a Catholic priest in charge of St Anthony’s Parish, an Angware community in the Jos East Local Government Area of Plateau State, Rev James Kantoma.
Kantoma who is the Chairman of the Nigerian Christian Association in the council area, was abducted on Sunday night.
Newsglobal gathered that the gunmen went straight to the priest’s house, immediately they invaded the society.
Meanwhile some youths in the area were informed of the attack and tried to stop them by chasing them into the bushes.
But the gunmen began to shoot sporadically and took the Reverend away.
Confirming the incident, the Chairman of CAN in the state, Polycarp Lubo, described the incident as a sad incident and added that as of this morning, the kidnappers had not reached out to them.
