Ms Esther Isaac Asuquo , a 21-year-old lady, was found dead in a hotel in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
Newsglobal gathered that the deceased lodged in Room 901 on February 25, 2022, at the Agete Hotel in the Gwarinpa area of the FCT.
According to Delta-born activist Harrison Gwamnishu, her body was found lying on bloodstained sheets in a hotel room and her brother, Emmanuel, now accused hotel management and police of covering up. Emmanuel, who is said to be the only relative who has been alive since their parents died a few years ago, accused the police of intimidating him to cancel the case after he left Calabar for Abuja to ask questions about the death of his sister.
He claimed police told him that his sister died an embarrassing death and they encouraged him to bury her calmly. He also accused the Agete hotel of refusing to release CCTV footage.
He said they claimed CCTV was bad on the day of the incident. He asked for justice for his sister and said he wanted an answer from the hotel but the only thing they said to him was that his sister came to the hotel with someone.
Meanwhile many people have requested that the hotel be closed and all management must be asked for information.
