Manu Ishaku Ada Ali has been crowned Aku-Uka of Wukari in the Kwararafa Kingdom of Wukari Local Government Area of Taraba State.
Its installation came just three months after the death of the chairman of the Taraba Chiefs Council, Dr. Shekarau Angyu Masa-Ibi Kuvyu II.
The new Aku, son of the 23rd Aku-Uka, Ada Ali Agbumanu, who reigned between 1974 and 1976, comes from the Bama Ruling House.
His coronation, which took place on Friday at the Wukari council, brought together the Jukun race from all sides, as well as dignitaries from all corners of the country.

The new monarch, who is the twenty-fifth Aku-Uka of the kingdom of Kwararafa, was installed by the Kunvyi of Wukari, Manu Irimiya.D. Agbu, who said that the monarch arose after his selection by the four kingmakers guided by the Supreme Oracle.
Elated by the development, the newly installed monarch urged his subjects to support him in presiding over the affairs of the kingdom.

He urged those who competed for the stool along with him to join him in making the kingdom a better place, and promised to take everyone with him.
Previously, the Governor of the State, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku, who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Haruna Istifanus Gbana, urged the new Aku to strive to work 24 hours a day to announce much-needed peace and unity in the land of Jukun.
Distancing the government from the selection process, he said the exercise was purely traditional.
Born on March 24, 1946, the new Aku holds a National Higher Diploma (HND) in Forestry from the premier Jos Federal College of Forestry, Plateau State.
He joined the civil service in 1965 and retired in 2000 as Chief Forest Superintendent after 35 years of meritorious service.
