Pan Niger Delta Forum leader Edwin Clark on Thursday warned Bola Tinubu, a presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, against taking part in 2023.
Clark said Tinubu should go and rest despite coming from Nigeria’s most sophisticated region.
Featured on Arise TV, the elder statesman said he would rather elect Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to be Nigeria’s next President.
Clark described Osinbajo as a smart man who has what it takes to rule Nigeria in 2023.
Tinubu recently announced his intention to run for president in 2023.
The former governor of Lagos State has told President Muhammadu Buhari that his decision to run for president was a lifelong aspiration.
Similarly, reports say that Osinbajo will soon announce his intentions.
However, the vice president denied the report.
